The life-span of any flooring solution depends entirely on the preparation prior to installation, the 5-P’s (Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance) are paramount.
Without first ensuring the sub-floor is appropriately prepared there is a high likelihood that the chosen product may fail after installation.
Depending on the product choice and the existing sub-floor you may need to remove any glues, oils or other contaminants by first grinding the floor and then levelling it with a suitable product before installation. Some sub-floors may also be covered with a thin layer of MDF before the finishing product is installed.
